Go BOLD, Or Go Home!

Standard

Another trend I’m excited for this Spring & Summer is Bold Prints! Don’t settle for just stripes and plaid alone, go WILD with prints like animal, aztec & floral.

If you’re ready for bold,  great news! H&M currently has Marni as it’s guest designer, and what a spread! Known for its quirky style, Marni offers up a modern twist on boho chic, using bolder and more graphic prints. Take a note from this label and let overt sexy style take a back seat and stand out with bold, graphic prints.

Don’t be afraid to mix & match your prints. Uniform prints like stripes, polka dots, and herringbone can be considered a neutral when pairing with other prints & colors. Play with proportion and color by mixing a tiny patterned skirt with a bold graphic top, or mixing a navy and white stripe with a bright multicolored floral. You can also play it safe by wearing textured tights with a printed dress, or incorporate into an everyday look  by pairing a striped top with a patterned scarf and denim.

You can also get your fix of prints in beauty. Hit up the nail salon to get a printed pedi, or stop by the drug store to get some easy to use press-ons, like Sally Henson Salon Effects.

Here’s a look at some prints I will NOT be trying out this year…
